(Carson City, NV)  —  A measure to raise the cap on mining taxes can move forward.  District Judge James Wilson has tossed out a challenge by the Nevada Mining Association to an initiative that would raise the state’s tax cap on minerals from five-percent to nine-percent.  Supporters must collect at least 71,000 signatures by mid-June to get the measure on the November ballot.  The ruling may be appealed to the Nevada Supreme Court.
