Spring means festival time in Las Vegas. You can enjoy everything from foodie fests to Pirate Fest, wine tasting and Jazz as well as the carnival atmosphere of an old-fashioned Spring Jamboree. No matter whether you are looking for something for the entire family or prefer something more adult, you can definitely find it when the weather heats up in Las Vegas.

Springs Preserve is presenting Chocolate: The Exhibition until May 3, 2015. Admission is free for members or with paid general admission. This is your opportunity to learn all about the history and production of everyone’s favorite sweet treat. Learn now different cultures enjoy their chocolate, follow the progression of bitter cacao to the sweet delight it now is, explore a replica full-size cacao tree, learn about the rainforest ecosystem while visiting an “Aztec market,” and bartering cacao seeds for necessary goods. You can also learn about mass-production of chocolate by running a conveyor belt and seeing the fascinating inventions used to improve the line. This is a fascinating look at the total chocolate experience from start to finish, making it perfect for the entire family.

Argh, matey, let it hereby be decreed that every pirate, fairy and Steampunk aficionado should plot their course to attend the 3rd Annual Pirate Fest’s at Lorenzi Park. The festivities will be held from April 10 through April 12, 2015. You will be invited to join Zappo’s Cardboard Regatta and craft your own boat (or floaty thing) to compete, and you may even want to enter a draw to win a cruise aboard a real tall ship. The Caribbean meets the desert in this one-of-a-kind celebration, so be sure to bring the whole family in full dress to take in the fun. After all, this is Las Vegas’ only pirate, fairy and Steampunk event!

The 7th Annual Spring Wine Fest will take place from May 15 through May 17, 2015 at the historic Golden Nugget. On Saturday April 18 and Sunday April 19, 2015, take in the musical stylings of some of the best jazz and R&B bands when you visit the City of Lights Jazz and R&B Festival. Boulder City’s Spring Jamboree is scheduled for Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3, 2015. Events ranging from a Little Miss and Mr. Pageant to Bark in the Park and musical performances take place at the gazebo. Other activities include an arts & crafts show, a car show, train and carnival rides, a climbing wall, caricature artists, paint ball, games and food vendors, face painting, and a water ride.
