Blackbird Studios is a cooperative exhibition space, gallery and art studio in the Las Vegas Arts District with a satellite gallery in the Container Park. Owned by Gina Quaranto, who works with paint and mixed media, she created the gallery as a place for new and established artists to show and sell their work in a creative and family-style environment. Located in the Fremont East downtown district, the building that houses emergency arts was a medical center before being converted to a collection of galleries with a coffee pub as its hub. Since its many galleries were designed as examination rooms and the lobby was transformed into a gathering space, the owners decided to incorporate emergency into its name and the keep the structure intact while repurposing the building. With two stories to explore, the artists and their work are eclectic with an urban vibe and bohemian appeal.
