Fall is a time of harvest and with the great weather and blue skies, it is a perfect time to celebrate in Las Vegas. Festivals have been a part of Southern Nevada for decades to enjoy food, music, art and even a chance to go back in time. Whether downtown or in the suburbs, residents and tourists in Southern Nevada have opportunities to welcome fall with Las Vegas style.

Las Vegas’ largest food and music festival is back, and celebrating its 17th year! Mix 94.1′s Bite Of Las Vegas 2013 is Saturday, September 28th at Desert Breeze Park! Featuring artists Goo Goo Dolls, One Republic, Better Than Ezra, Matt Nathanson, Plain White T’s ,Parachute, Walk off the Earth.  Plus special appearance from Las Vegas’ own Purple Reign The Prince Tribute Show. …plus food from over 40 of Las Vegas’ best restaurants!

The show goes from 11am to 10pm and tickets are available online through EventBrite in advance of the show for $15 plus online ticketing fee.  Kids 6 and under get in for free!

Las Vegas is transported to medieval times during the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Fair. Many attendees wear costumes of the time to enjoy the royal parade with kings and their queens, jousting tournaments, re-enactments and more than 50 shows being performed. Artisans include jewelers, stone carvers, blacksmiths, toy makers, stained glass designs and perfume along with armor, sword and dagger crafts. Authentic food and ales for adults will be available along with free parking.

The Chalk Art Expo is one of the big events during the 19th Annual Summerlin Art Festival where children will be taught how to use chalk, create their own artwork on the sidewalk and participate in the community mural. Expert chalk artist Donovan Fitzgerald will demonstrate by drawing classic artwork. More than 100 artists will display their work as well. Entertainment will include music, dance and culinary demonstrations. The Downtown Brew Festival produced by the Motley Brews celebrates the art of beer. More than 150 craft beers by 50 breweries will be featured including specialty beers by the Nevada Craft Brewers. Chef Christian Dolias of Cutthroat Culinary created the menu for VIPs in the Brewers Lounge. Food trucks and booths are also available during the festival. Entertainment will include Las Vegas local performers American Cream and Rusty Mapes. The festival will benefit the Nevada Craft Brewers Association, an extension of the Brewers Association, a nonprofit craft beer advocate.

Life is Beautiful celebrates what makes living great including good food, music and art. Held in downtown Las Vegas, there will be numerous events during the day and evening. Imagine Dragons, Beck, Kings of Leon and Las Vegas native band The Killers will perform with more than 65 bands and singers scheduled during the two-day festival. More than 80 chefs, restaurants, breweries and wineries will provide culinary and beverage delights. Members of Cirque du Soleil are headlining the performance art aspect of the festival with other shows featured.
