This year St. Patrick’s Day falls on Monday, March 17. The holiday originated in the early 1600s and celebrates the arrival of Saint Patrick and Christianity to Ireland. Lent restrictions on alcohol and food are lifted for the day so revelers can enjoy meat and libations. Las Vegas is a great place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day for both locals and tourists. Take in a parade and head out to one of these local bars for green beer and a good time.
