Las Vegas has some of the best shopping in the world. From Tiffany & Co. to Nordstrom, all the legendary brands are represented. However, some shoppers may prefer to shop local in smaller boutiques with personalized services. Small artisans and retailers have collaborated together this year and opened some great boutiques featuring jewelry, clothing, home decor and specialty products. Markie Char is a store filled with custom jewelry and accessories made by owner Faith Lozich and other talented jewelry designers. She began selling her beautiful designs online and at farmer’s markets until she was able to open her own boutique. You’ll find beautiful earrings, necklaces and rings made from quality materials at moderate prices. Markie Char carries two charitable lines, 31 Bits and Good Works. The gem-encrusted leather bracelets and rings from Good Works give back 25 percent to the Make A Difference charitable organization. Thirty One Bits is a line of jewelry made by women in northern Uganda. Each piece purchased helps these women support themselves and their families.

Artifact is a new creative boutique full of recycled, up-cycled and one-of-a-kind creations. Owner Molly combs Las Vegas and the US to find artisans and their creations to feature in her store. From driftwood ipod docks to up-cycled wine bottle lighting, you won’t be able to leave without taking something home. For the fashion obsessed, Molly creates an “inspired by” wall each month featuring a celebrity’s fashion files.
