Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas in the trendy Arts District, The Attic has been around a long time by Las Vegas standards. Featured in a Visa International commercial in 1998, as well as print publications like “Vogue” magazine, The Attic is rated high as one of the best vintage clothing shops in Las Vegas. This spacious and fascinating shop carries only premier vintage clothing and prides itself on a staff able to meet any customer’s needs. Staffer Angel Gonzales is well-known to patrons as the artistic designer. Angel can custom fit any vintage clothing piece that strikes your fancy. The Attic also carries its own line of clothing on the first floor. Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Valentino’s Zootsuit Connection
107 East Charleston Boulevard
Suite 135
Las Vegas, NV 89104
(702) 383-9555
www.valentinoszootsuitconnection.com
Think “wearable art” in vintage clothing that spans decades from the 1900s to the 1980s. Hollywood glamour is well represented, too, especially if you’re craving a fedora or bowler. In business since 1975, Valentino and his wife have made a career out of their passion — vintage fashion. Valentino’s Zootsuit Collection items have been featured in movies, commercials and other types of media advertising. Step into marvelous mayhem, but be prepared to pay for the high-end quality items found here. If you attend costume parties and want “the real deal,” Valentino will be happy to put together a custom look just for you. Hours: Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Take II Resale Boutique
3400 South Jones Boulevard, Suite 12
Las Vegas, NV 89146
(702) 876-8480
Hidden away further west off the Las Vegas Strip is another longtime vintage clothing shop (for men and children, too) without the same high profile as The Attic. Prices tend to be lower as well. Take II is located near the Community College of Southern Nevada. Spend a little time and you’ll probably find a couple of one-of-a-kind pieces to add to your wardrobe. If you want to stumble upon a vintage Gucci purse or a pair of designer, peep-toed shoes, just ask the friendly and knowledgeable staff for help. Hours: normally open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. (It’s usually a good idea to call first.)
