The Las Vegas metropolitan area is home to nearly two million people. A large percentage of adult city residents work in hotel, casino, restaurant, entertainment and other tourist-related businesses. The locals are certainly aware that they earn their living by welcoming the nearly 40 million people who visit Las Vegas every year. However, when Las Vegas people want to relax and have their own free time, they expect special deals that tourists are not in on. To get those deals, usually all they need to do is show their Nevada driver’s license with a Las Vegas home address on it. Here are the best deals for locals and how they can enjoy the same fun, drinks and food on the famed Las Vegas Strip as tourists — and at lower costs.  — Ted Sherman
