While UFC fights can be ordered at home on Pay-Per-View, going to a bar to watch two men battle it out in the Octagon makes for a far more festive affair. Plus, having someone else clean up the spilled beer and nacho remnants is a definite plus. Las Vegas is home to the UFC. The Fertitta brothers, Frank and Lorenzo of Station Casinos fame, own the UFC, so of course, the six neighborhood Station Casinos broadcast the events in their showrooms and bars. Besides the Fertitta-owned locations, there are some great places in Las Vegas to view the fights, ranging from down home to downright luxurious.

During UFC fights, the indoor section of the restaurant located at the north entrance of the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, is designated party central. Diners who don’t care to join in are seated on the outside patio that overlooks the Strip. Most of the main UFC fights are shown at the Cantina. Known for its margaritas, it’s nearly impossible to get a bad concoction made from the nectar of the agave plant here, but make note: if you don’t like your margaritas sweet, be sure and let your wait staff know. Sweet is Cabo Wabo’s standard. The Cantina serves its regular menu on fight nights. Call for the schedule of fights as the calendar of events on the Cantina’s website isn’t always kept up to date. Reservations are only taken for groups of 10 or more.
