Who Had More Picks In 2013? Eli Manning Vs. The Patriots’ Draft

You guys. Eli Manning is bad. I don’t care if he won 2 Super Bowls. He’s bad. He’s worse than Peyton Manning. He’s worse than Tom Brady. He is worse than Mark Sanchez. Sometimes, he looks like this. Other times, he looks like this. The point is, he’s lousy. He’s made an art form out of throwing picks.

On the other side of the spectrum, we’ll remind you that “picks” also means “selections in the draft.” And nobody’s better at gathering a whole bunch of ‘em than the New England Patriots. So whose picks were more impressive in 2013 – Eli Manning’s, or the Patriots’ draft class?

Eli Manning

Patriots' Draft

2 games (so, 2 days) Time It Took To Amass 7 Picks? April 25-27 (so, 3 days)
Current Giants record is 5-9. Impact on team success? Current record is 10-4.
Cost a Seattle car dealership $420,000 (not to mention the financial impact of the Giants missing the playoffs). Financial impact of Picks? They’re doing just fine.
25…so far. Still time in the season. Total Picks in 2013? 7 (not including picks traded away).
Much as I hate to say it, the Giants will bounce back, and this lousy record will give them a decent position in the 2014 draft. Impact on 2014 team? They’ll be fine, as always.

The winner is

Eli Manning
3 out of 5

So there you have it. For once – ONCE – Eli Manning ekes out a victory, in spite of his inability to throw to his own receivers, 3-2. Nice job, Eli. You're the worst Manning.
