UNLV Runnin’ Rebels
LAS VEGAS, NV – It only took about five minutes for Colorado State to all but erase a 12-point second half deficit but UNLV held on to beat the Rams and reclaim sole possession of 3rd place in the Mountain West Conference.
Upon further review of further review, the Runnin’ Rebels were apparently short-changed near the end of last Saturday’s loss to Boise State.
A dramatic game-winning shot by Deville Smith in overtime was waived off after two video reviews.
Kevin Olekaibe scored 16 of his 21 points in the second half, Bryce Dejean-Jones added 17 and Khem Birch had 11 points, 12 rebounds and nine blocks to give UNLV a 73-62 victory over Utah State on Saturday.
It’s hard not to get excited about next season as the Runnin’ Rebels 2014 recruiting class is being regarded as one of the best since the late 80’s.
The Runnin’ Rebels slipped past the Wyoming Cowboys 48-46 in front of an announced crowd of 13,863 at the Thomas & Mack Center.
