Michael’s career has spanned the spectrum of news, entertainment and politics.

He hosted the nationally syndicated “The Daily Wrap” from the Wall Street Journal Radio Network, a show originating in New York City heard on almost 200 stations. Most recently, Michael hosted both morning and afternoon drive for heritage radio station KEX in Portland, Ore.

Previously, Castner hosted the morning show on WRNO FM in New Orleans and the afternoon show on Newsradio 1150 WJBO in Baton Rouge. Before the move to Louisiana, Castner was the host of the trendsetting Nightside Project, which was heard in Salt Lake City, Washington D.C. and Phoenix. He also anchored the news for talk station KFI in Los Angeles.

Michael is also a familiar face on television, including his lengthy stint as a personality and host for the E! Channel. During his 15 years with E!, Michael covered the red carpet and hosted his own talk show. That followed a stint as London bureau chief for “Entertainment Tonight.”

Michael is also no stranger to the realm of politics. He covered the White House and State Department for Tribune Broadcasting before going on to serve as press adviser to then congressional candidate Joseph P. Kennedy II. He has also served as communications guru for the Utah State Senate and regularly advised political candidates.

Castner not only talks about the issues, but he gets involved. In 2008, while in Utah, Castner pushed for “The Puppy Torture” bill, making animal abuse a felony statewide. Castner received a standing ovation on the floor of the Utah Senate for his efforts to get the bill passed.

More recently, Castner hosted a series of shows on cyber-bullying on WRNO. This led Castner to ask for a law addressing the issue in Louisiana schools. After Castner testified before House and Senate committees, the bill passed unanimously and was signed into law by Governor Bobby Jindal.

Michael was the recipient of a National Press Foundation Fellowship Grant and has won awards from the Texas Associated Press for Best Investigative Reporting and Feature Reporting.

In addition, Castner is an accomplished photographer. He is represented by WireImage/Getty Images, the leading digital photographic press agency and wire service. His images have appeared in publications worldwide, including TV Guide, Hollywood Reporter, Sports Illustrated, AOL, New York Post, MSN, Teen Vogue, Soap Opera Digest, Soap Opera Weekly and Soaps In Depth.

He was also once in the Hollywood Christmas Parade with Mario Lopez and Screech from “Saved by the Bell.” Don’t ask.
