As far as I am concerned I have never been a huge fan of this mercy rule, or so called "being professional". This is the National Football League and anything can happen, even when a team is up 30 there is always that chance. That's why they play the games, you just never know what can, or will happen.

In this particular instance, I really have nothing wrong with it. If you don't want to be scored on, stop the other team. The only thing that the Seahawks need to remember is that they are making a negative statement. Teams are going to remember these games, not only the teams it happened to, but the rest of the league. So even though it is all fun and games now with the huge blow outs and so called "unsportsmanlike" routs. It could eventually catch up to them and beat them in the long run.

It’s time to strap up gentleman; you’re professionals act like it. I understand that piling on points can be considered a little bush league but the reality is, NFL players and coaches get paid millions of dollars to perform at the highest level and there shouldn't be any excuses for not being prepared.

One of the best things about the NFL is the parody; any team can beat any other team week in and week out. Don’t blame the team kicking your ass; take a look in the mirror because the blame lies there.
