There is a lot of anger going around in the NFL lately, and some of it is quite justified. Some of it, on the other hand, is just incredibly strange and uncalled for.
The NFL has a lot going on as the season prepares to get ready for the final quarter of the year. Playoff races will be heating up and teams are going to start battling it out for a spot, but there is a lot happening off of the field as well.
There were a number of big headlines from Sunday’s action, and sometimes they need to be broken down to make sense of everything. Some of those headlines include gruesome injuries, a rookie finding the pine, and a storm delaying a game for almost two hours.
The NFL is full of ups and downs, and it is sometimes quite amazing how quickly a player can go from one to the other. It’s a league where tomorrow is never promised and you’re not in the driver’s seat just because you played professional football.
Injuries can cause a player to take time off from their team and sometimes that means the entire season. When injuries heal, it is time for those players to return and hopefully make a return sooner rather than later. For others? Injuries can mean coming full circle back to the place where it all began.
Problems abound in the NFL sometimes, and it takes a lot the backing and support from your teammates, coaches, ownership and more to keep you a part of a franchise. Those problems can be injuries, losing streaks and even just rumors.
Injuries are truly crippling some teams in the NFL as the season begins its ride toward the playoffs. One player will finally be on the field for his new team and he’ll ironically face his old team. A Houston Texan is done for the year and won’t have to suffer much longer. In Green Bay, the Packers are dealing with a problem that they haven’t had in decades.
How could someone just up and walk away from the game of professional football for good? Well, when you’re not happy and don’t want to risk your health whatsoever, then it is a decision that is made without much hesitation at all.
