LAS VEGAS (KXNT) — A Las Vegas woman faces DUI and hit and run charges in connection with a crash that left a pedestrian dead Friday night, according to authorities.
Investigators said Elaine Price was impaired when her 1997 Acura she struck the 52-year-old pedestrian crossing South Rancho Drive outside a crosswalk around 9:50 p.m. Friday, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported.
The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center, where he died a short time later. The victim’s name was not immediately released pending family notification.
Price, 43, fled the scene, but was located by patrol officers moments later in the same area. Price was arrested for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a collision.
