LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – A day after asking for the public’s help, Las Vegas police have identified the man found murdered and dumped in a vacant lot near the Las Vegas Strip early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Tips generated from photo’s of the victim’s tattoos helped investigators determine the identity of the the victim as 25-year-old Carlos Lopez-Perez, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported.
Lopez-Perez’s body was discovered around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday in a desert lot on the 11200 block of Gillespie Street near South Las Vegas Boulevard.
LVMPD Homicide Section detectives determined Lopez-Perez was likely killed in another location and left in the desert area to be found.
