LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas Metro police are investigating a rollover crash that left a man dead in the southwest part of town.
They say the collision occurred at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday in the Mountains Edge community.
Police say a driver was traveling at a high rate of speed before running a stop sign and going into the desert area.
They say the sedan flipped multiple times once off the roadway and came to rest several hundred feet west of the intersection.
Police say the 40-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office has yet to release the name of the man.
Police say the crash remains under investigation and is the 111th traffic related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction so far this year.
