LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Police have arrested one of two suspects in the murder of a man inside his southwest valley home in an apparent drug-related home invasion, according to authorities.
Cody Sullivan was arrested Saturday by officers responding to a business theft call on the 4100 block of South Rainbow Boulevard, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported. Sullivan, 18, was previously identified as a one of the two men seen on surveillance camera video in connection with the home invasion killing of Thomas Frank Jones on Nov.5
Jones, 35, was found shot to death inside his home on the 6300 block of Sandpiper Way. Investigators with the LVMPD Homicide Section determined the murder was the result of a home invasion attack that was likely narcotics-related.
Video surveillance from the neighborhood showed two suspects arriving at the home and entering before a gunshot can be heard.
Sullivan was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on murder, armed robbery, burglary and cocaine possession charges.
The second suspect in Jones’ murder remains unidentified and at large, LVMPD reported.
