LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – A Las Vegas mother faces murder chargers after investigators concluded her 2-year-old daughter died last month from neglect, according to authorities.
Las Vegas Metro Police arrested Diana Eldridge Wednesday in connection with the October 18th death of her child, a LVMPD statement reported.
Officers arrived at Eldridge’s apartment on the 5400 block of South Maryland Parkway after someone reported a child had died.
Police found the body of Eldridge’s two-year-old daughter in the home shared with her mother and two other siblings.
An investigation by LVMPD Abuse and Neglect Section concluded the child suffered from environmental and medical neglect for an extended period before her death.
Eldridge, 23, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of murder as well as two counts of child neglect pertaining to her surviving children.
