LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – A Las Vegas man faces murder charges after allegedly abusing a 7-year-old boy who later died, according to authorities.
Clark County firefighters responding to an emergency call at the home on the 4800 block of Boulder Highway Sunday afternoon called Las Vegas Metro Police officers after concluding the child showed obvious signs of severe trauma and likely abuse, including ligature marks, a LVMPD statement reported.
The child was taken to Sunrise Children’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators with the Homicide and Abuse and Neglect section determined the boy was abused by Kenneth Robinson, who lived with the boy, his mother and four other children. Robinson, 31, was not the child’s father.
Robinson was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and charged with one count of murder.
