LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Police are hoping images of tattoos released to the public will help investigators identify a woman found shot and killed on a Las Vegas sidewalk early Wednesday, authorities said.

The victim was found with apparent gunshot wounds on the sidewalk near View Drive and Quartz Lane around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported. Police believe she was shot once in the stomach and that the shooter then stood over her and shot her again in the head.

Detectives determined several witnesses heard gunshots, but did not witness the shooting. Police were also searching for a gray four-door vehicle which was seen leaving the scene and may have been involved in the shooting.
