Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) — A pedestrian has died after being hit by car in Las Vegas.

The car struck the pedestrian while he was crossing the street near East Lake Mead Boulevard west of Linn Lane just after 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Las Vegas Metro police statement. The 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The county coroner’s office will name the pedestrian once family has been notified.

Investigators determined the pedestrian was outside of a marked crosswalk and was crossing west of the intersection.

Police say the 46-year-old driver stayed on the scene, did not appear impaired and is cooperating with investigators.
