LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a woman who was critically wounded in a shooting on a Las Vegas freeway has died.
Authorities say the victim, who was shot three times, died Saturday after being rushed into surgery.
Her husband was also shot and he is in stable condition.
Police say a driver opened fire on the couple’s car around 9:30 a.m. on I-15.
Lt. Patrick Charoen says an officer spotted a car fitting the suspect vehicle’s description outside a nearby drug store.
According to Charoen, the male suspect was taken into custody without incident and there no injuries in the store.
Investigators are still trying to determine a motive but the attack appears to be random.
The identities of the victims and the suspect have not been released.
