LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Officers are searching for the gunman who shot and killed a man during an argument in downtown Las Vegas early Monday, according to authorities.

Las Vegas Metro police investigating reports of gunfire arrived on the 1500 block of Ogden Avenue around 6:45 a.m. Monday to find a man lying in the street, a LVMPD statement reported.

The man, a victim of an apparent gunshot wound, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s identity was not immediately released pending family notification.

Detectives with the LVMPD Homicide Section determined the victim got into an argument with an unknown suspect prior to the shooting. A dark-colored sedan was seen speeding away from the scene.
