NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — North Las Vegas police have arrested a suspect who allegedly fled a deadly hit-and-run and then posted about his injuries on social media.

Authorities say Qaadir Issan Amin II was booked Friday into Clark County Detention Center.

It was not immediately known what charges he faces.

KVVU-TV in Las Vegas reports that police say 35-year-old Amin’s vehicle struck and killed 55-year-old Clay Stampley Sr. last May.

Police say Amin ran a red traffic light just before the collision.

The impact threw Stampley from his car.

Amin and another occupant in his vehicle fled on foot.

Investigators say Amin displayed a photo on social media of his injuries. He later shared a photo of himself on a cruise in the Bahamas.

It was not known if Amin had an attorney.
