LAS VEGAS (AP) — Social media posts are calling for a boycott of a restaurant and other businesses that hosted Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump while he visited Las Vegas.
KVVU-TV reports that the owner of the restaurant that hosted Trump said she’s been receiving death threats and harassing phone calls. Irma Aguirre hosted Trump and other Hispanic business owners during a discussion about growing Latino businesses.
While that meeting took place, protests took place outside.
Jose Macias later turned to Facebook to call for a boycott of Aguirre’s restaurant. The post has since been shared thousands of times.
Macias says he didn’t intend for Aguirre to be personally attacked when he wrote the post.
