LAS VEGAS (AP) — Gov. Brian Sandoval is vouching for his fellow Republican Joe Heck in a new commercial for Nevada’s competitive U.S. Senate race.
KTNV reports the new ad from the political arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is running in the Reno market.
It features the governor against a picturesque mountain backdrop telling viewers about Heck’s work as a doctor and a brigadier general.
Sandoval says Heck is dedicated to service and adds that he’ll be voting for him in the race.
Heck has served three terms representing a southern Nevada House district and is in a tight and expensive race against former Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto.
The winner will take retiring Democratic Sen. Harry Reid’s seat.
