LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – A suspect was arrested and faces charges including murder in the shooting death of a man found inside his ransacked home last weekend, according to authorities.

James Farr II turned himself in to police Wednesday after investigators identified him as their primary suspect in the killing of Chad Shelton last Saturday, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported.

Shelton, 27, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was later found by a roommate.

All the rooms in Shelton’s house near McCarran International Airport had been ransacked and several items were reported missing, including at least two guns and a vehicle. The 2016 Hyundai Veloster was found several blocks away from the crime scene the next morning.

Farr, 28, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and faces charges of murder, burglary and grand larceny auto.
