LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Las Vegas police are trying to unravel what led to the killing of a man just outside an unlicensed after hours club hidden in the back room of a Southwest Valley clothing store, according to authorities.

Officers arrived in the parking lot of Top Knotch Apparel on the 4200 block of South Decatur Boulevard around 6:20 a.m. Sunday to find the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported.

The man was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. His identity was not immediately released pending family notification.

LVMPD Homicide investigators determined the victim had been inside an unlicensed club located in the store’s back room when he got into a fight with one or more people, leading to the shooting.

Detectives were unable to immediately identify a suspect or suspects in the murder and the motive was not known.

The killing was the 123rd homicide investigators by LVMPD in 2016.
