Pahrump Woman Accused of DUI in Deadly Collision

PAHRUMP, Nev. (AP) — A Pahrump woman is facing charges of driving drunk and causing a fatal crash.

Nye County Sheriff’s deputies said Sunday that Ashley Winn was booked on charges of DUI resulting in death, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm and failing to stop at a stop sign.

The collision occurred Saturday around 4 a.m. in the area of Dandelion and Honeysuckle streets.

According to investigators, Winn’s vehicle was traveling west and collided with another heading north.

A passenger in the other vehicle died at the scene.

The driver was airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital. That person’s condition was not immediately known Sunday.

Deputies say driver Winn was taken to the hospital and arrested upon her release.

It was not immediately known if she had an attorney.
