LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Las Vegas Police investigators say a heated argument boiled over into murder when a 50-year-old man beat two roommates to death in a Las Vegas apartment Tuesday, according to authorities.
Detectives believe Frank Interlicchia had been engaged in a serious argument involving several people in the parking lot of the apartments on the 5000 block of Palo Verde Road around noon Tuesday, according to a LVMPD statement.
Screams from inside the apartment prompted calls to officers, who arrived to find Interlicchia in front of the apartment, covered in blood.
Inside, officers found the bodies of an adult man and woman with obvious head trauma. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene. Witnesses told investigators Interlicchia had been living in the apartment with the victims for approximately a month before the killings.
Police said Interliccia was agitated and armed with a baseball bat after the incident.
Interlicchia was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of murder and one count of home invasion. The deaths were the 121st and 122nd homicides investigated by LVMPD detectives in 2016.
