LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – The man investigators say shot his estranged wife and another man in a domestic violence attack in a McCarran International Airport parking lot Monday evening has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, police officials confirmed.
Jeffery Brown was arrested by officers at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in North Las Vegas around 11 p.m., hours after the gunfire in McCarran’s Terminal 1 parking garage around 6 p.m. Monday evening, according to Las Vegas Police.
Authorities said the victims had just gotten off a flight from Indianapolis and entered the sixth floor of the long-term garage when Brown, 68, emerged and opened fire.
The victims were both conscious when they were rushed to Sunrise Hospital, where both remained hospitalized Tuesday. The woman’s injuries were described as non-life threatening. Their names have not yet been released.
Brown was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and faced a variety of charges, including two counts of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and illegally discharging a firearm.
