Cops: Las Vegas Woman Struck, Killed Boyfriend with Couple’s Vehicle

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Las Vegas police investigators believe a 26-year-old woman killed her live-in boyfriend Wednesday by hitting him with their vehicle just outside the couple’s apartment complex, according to authorities.

Lahtijera Howard was arrested and faced murder charges in the killing of her boyfriend Darryl White, a Las Vegas Police statement reported.

Officers found White’s body in some landscaping near the exit to the Playa Vista Apartments on the 3700 block of East Bonanza Road around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Detectives investigating White’s death located Howard in the complex, then found the couple’s vehicle in a parking lot of a nearby business with damage consistent with a recent collision.

A motive in the killing was not immediately known.

Howard was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of murder. The killing was the 117th homicide investigated by LVMPD detectives in 2016.

She was abused, no one knows the whole story. Any person would begin to defend themselves after being cornered. Condolence to the White family we will all miss Darryl. Our hearts go out to Little Carter. But just know you don’t know the whole story. I hope that she gets psychiatric help, she’s not a monster just misguided.
