LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 60-year-old former Las Vegas-area church pastor has been sentenced to at least 60 years in state prison for sexually assaulting three young girls in his congregation before fleeing to Mexico.
The prosecutor in the case, Robert Langford, said Thursday that Otis Holland maintained to the end that he didn’t get a fair trial.
Holland’s attorney didn’t immediately respond to messages.
Clark County District Court Judge Stefany Miley sentenced Holland to 15 life terms for his conviction in January on charges of child sexual assault and lewdness, plus conspiracy to destroy evidence and bribing a witness.
Holland was known to his United Faith Church congregation as “Reverend Otis.” He became an international fugitive after his initial arrest in December 2010.
He still faces similar charges in a separate case in Henderson involving five alleged victims.
