Survivors from the 2012 Aurora theater shooting are expected to pay $700,000 to Cinemark to cover legal fees that accumulated from the trial. Some survivors were arguing that the theater was responsible for medical compensation because they let the shooter into the theater to begin with but the court ruled that the theater was not responsible.

Cinemark came to that monetary conclusion after calculating the costs of evidence, travel, record collecting, and other expenses associated with the trial.
