LAS VEGAS (AP) — A new ad for Republican Rep. Joe Heck urges voters to “send a soldier” to the Senate to keep America safe.

The commercial launching Saturday is narrated by Army Ranger Hall of Fame member Bill Anton.

Anton tells viewers that Heck is a fellow soldier who’s fighting to give members of the armed forces the tools and training they need, and the care and respect they deserve when they return home as veterans.

Heck is a one-star general in the Army Reserves. He’s in a competitive race for Senate against Democratic former Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto.

The commercial is the third released by Heck’s campaign, but outside groups seeking to sway the pivotal race have released many more both supporting and opposing him.
