LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – A Las Vegas man faces sex trafficking charges after investigators say he lured juveniles into becoming prostitutes, according to authorities.
The arrest of David Coil came after a three-month investigation into the case by Las Vegas Metro detectives with the Vice and Sex Trafficking Investigation Section, a LVMPD statement reported.
Investigators believe Coil, 63, recruited his teenage victims through ads posted on Craigslist. Coil’s efforts to find future prostitutes allegedly began last October.
Coil was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of underage sex trafficking, attempted underage sex trafficking and soliciting and engaging in child prostitution.
The LVMPD Vice and Sex Trafficking Investigations Section is asking for anyone who may have answered one of Coil’s Craigslist ads or any parents who believe their child may have been a victim to contact them at 702-828-3455.
