LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – A Las Vegas police officer was arrested and faces charges after fellow officers found child pornography in his home, according to authorities.

Ruben Delgadillo was arrested Friday after officers served a search warrant on his Las Vegas home, a Las Vegas Police statement reported.

Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and LVMPD Internal Affairs Bureau began looking into Delgadillo following allegations of child pornography possession.

During the service of the search warrant, Delgadillo was arrested and later booked into the Clark County Detention Center on counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.

Delgadillo joined the LVMPD in July 2015 and is currently assigned to the Community Police Division, Northwest Area Command.

Delgadillo was placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.
