LAS VEGAS (AP) — A former Las Vegas day care employee has been sentenced to at least 40 years for sexually assaulting three young girls.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that 33-year-old Cameron Thomas received 40 years to life Friday.
He was convicted in June of 13 counts including sexual assault against a minor younger than 14 and lewdness with a child younger than 14.
Thomas worked at Kids R Kids Day Care between January 2005 and March 2010.
Three girls, who are now between 13 and 17 years old, testified Thomas molested them in cars, homes and in swimming pools.
Thomas’ attorney had requested 20 years to life, saying Thomas was married with three children of his own.
Thomas spoke briefly, only to state he had written a letter to the judge.
