LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – A man was arreted and faces murder charges in connection with the death of a man gunned down in a central Las Vegas apartment complex in May, according to authorities.

Bryan Metcalf was arrested by officers Thursday. Metcalf, 28, was identified as the gunman who shot and killed Andre Smith at the complex on the 3600 block of Cambridge Street on May 30, a Las Vegas Police statement reported.

Smith, 35, was killed during what witnesses called an argument outside an apartment involving several people.

A gunshot was heard and everyone left the scene, leaving Smith behind with a gunshot wound to the head. Smith was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he later died.

Metcalf was later identified as a suspect in the killing before his arrest on the 1000 block of Sierra Vista Drive Thursday.

Metcalf was being held at the Clark County Detention Center on one count of first degree murder.
