HENDERSON, NV (KXNT) – Henderson police are investigating what appeared to be a botched burglary attempt early Wednesday that ended with the intruder shot in the arm, according to authorities.
Officers arrived at the Villas at Green Valley at the 2300 block of North Green Valley Parkway, near North Green Valley Parkway and West Warm Springs Road, about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday following a pair of phone calls to 911, a Henderson Police statement reported.
In one call, a woman told dispatchers that her brother had been shot in the arm. In the other call, a resident reported that he shot an intruder who was breaking into his apartment.
Detectives determined the wounded man appeared to be the alleged burglar. The suspect was transported to Sunrise Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
