LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) – One gunman was killed and another was in custody after police say the two suspects exchanged fire with another person during an attack on a Las Vegas tattoo parlor Monday evening, according to authorities.
Investigators said two armed Hispanic men entered Sin City Ink at 3430 E. Tropicana Avenue, near Pecos Road around 8:25 p.m. Monday, a Las Vegas Metro police statement reported.
Witnesses said the two men began beating a male employee, then turned their attention toward a patron in the business. That allowed the victim to grab a firearm, leading to an exchange of bullets inside the store.
During the gunfire, one of the suspects was fatally wounded, while the second was uninjured and able to escape and flee the scene in a waiting vehicle.
That suspect, Eric Garcia, was arrested without incident a short time later near East Flamingo and South Pecos roads. Garcia, 28, was booked into the the Clark County Detention Center on multiple counts, including attempted murder and illegal firearm possession charges.
A man inside the tattoo parlor also suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Sunrise Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries.
