Kevin Richards joined the Heidi Harris Show to discuss the benefits of Pokemon Go from a business perspective. The virtual reality phone application might seem like a trend that will soon fade away, it should be noted that the Pokemon franchise has been going strong since 1998 and the fandom is still growing. Richard went on to explain that the app makes it possible for businesses to set “lures” which create a Pokemon hot-spot, enticing more trainers to frequent the area and possibly purchase something from the business. Any players are capable of dropping a lure to attract more Pokemon, but businesses are really capitalizing on the function.
