Brittany Rose snapped up the last spot on the music lineup for Life is Beautiful Festival 2016 after three rounds of competition at Brooklyn Bowl.
Rose was chosen by a panel of judges and a public vote by fans on July 10.
Rose is accompanied by a band consisting of members Alaina Clark and Kelsey Vansuch (backup vocals), John Lloyd (guitar), Jeremy Elises (bass), Jason Corpuz (keys) and Laron Johnson (drums). Lloyd and Rose have been playing together for six years and with the full band for two.
“The music I write varies between soul and pop, but there is a strong influence of hip hop in our live sets, so we definitely have a hip-hop edge,” Rose says.
Rose has been showcased and featured in LIB competitions for the past three years, since she was 17 years old. “Our music has grown, and we are truly ready to perform on a big stage. I get excited for the Life is Beautiful lineup to come out every year. The festival is such an amazing way to bring together the community and show how much downtown Las Vegas is thriving.”
Rose is looking forward to seeing Jack Garrett and Kehlani at LIB. “Jack Garrett has this magical electronic infused sound and the soul behind his voice is incredible,” she says. “Kehlani brings back that old-school R&B sound, and I can’t wait to see her live again.”
Check out her live session recording of original song “Fool’s Gold.” She also debuted a single, “One Man Show,” at Battle of the Bands. The music video was produced by Josh Connolly (whose credits include Justin Bieber, Pharrell, Cee Lo Green and Santana).
Rose will join music superstars on the Life is Beautiful stages, including Mumford & Sons, J. Cole, Major Lazer, The Lumineers, G-Eazy, Flume and Jane’s Addiction.
