LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Two suspects are behind bars and facing charges in connection with a fight and shooting in a convenience store parking lot last week that killed a 25-year-old man, according to Las Vegas police officials.
Oscar Gomez and Gustavo Delacruz-Cortez were arrested by officers with the Criminal Apprehension Team Tuesday, a Las Vegas Metro police statement reported.
Investigators said Gomez, 20, and Delacruz-Cortez, 25, were participants in an argument that broke out in the parking lot on the 5100 block of East Tropicana Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Detectives believe Gomez then pulled a handgun and shot the victim Shawn Manymules in the chest. Both suspects then fled the area in a blue vehicle.
Manymules, 25, was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gomez is being held on one court of murder, while Delacruz-Cortez faces one count of aiding a felony offender.
