LAS VEGAS (AP) — Airline fees at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas are dropping for the third year in a row.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the average cost of airline fees will be $10.80 per passenger beginning July 1. That’s down from the current $11.66 per passenger and fiscal year 2013’s $12.06 per passenger.
McCarran public information administrator Christine Crews says lower fees make the airport a more attractive destination.
McCarran’s per-passenger fees are lower than those in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver, but the cost remains higher than Dallas/Fort Worth, Phoenix and Atlanta.
Airline fees can include charges for landing, terminal complex rentals and gate use.
