LAS VEGAS  (AP) — A Nevada judge is due to consider setting a new trial date for a 25-year-old man accused of firing a gun backstage while trying to steal costumes and props from “Thunder From Down Under” male revue cast members on the Las Vegas Strip.

Joey Kadmiri was found competent last month to face felony burglary, robbery, battery and weapon charges stemming from the March 2014 incident at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Kadmiri has pleaded not guilty to charges that could get him decades in prison.

A trial ended in mistrial last July after a juror reported seeing media reports of the proceedings.

Police say dancers in the Australia-themed show restrained Kadmiri after he fired a shot that narrowly missed the one male cast member and lodged in a wall.
