( Las Vegas, NV ) – While much of the Las Vegas metropolitan area dealt with steady light-to-moderate rain through most of Sunday night and early Monday morning, the edges of the valley – from the Summerlin area southwest and down to parts of Henderson – got up to 3 inches of snow.
At mid-morning Monday the National Weather Service canceled the Winter Storm Warning that had been scheduled to run until 4pm Monday for areas of southern Nevada above 5,000 feet.
The Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort on Mt. Charleston reported 10 inches of new snow from the storm.
Rainfall amounts ranged from generally a half-an-inch to two-thirds-of-an-inch throughout the city.
The forecast calls for the rain to move out of the area by Tuesday.
