GEORGE NOORY IN LAS VEGAS: Get tickets now -- be there June 9!

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) _ A 21-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in an accident that killed a flagger in a construction zone in Henderson.

Police say 49-year-old Marilyn Rouse of Las Vegas was directing traffic at 2 a.m. Friday when she was struck by a car driven by Selina Gonzalez-Gascon.

She was taken to a hospital, where she died Friday night.

Investigators say Rouse was wearing a suit made of reflective material and using safety equipment that included hand-held red wand lights and a hard hat.

Gonzalez-Gascon is accused of continuing to drive after striking Rouse until she was stopped by members of the construction crew.

She also was booked into the Clark County jail on charges of hit-and-run driving and disobeying a flagger.
