Nellis Air Force Base, NV —  The Thunderbirds will be flying for the home audience this year.

Aviation Nation, the Nellis Air Force Base Open House returns on November 8 and 9.

Sequestration , a lack of funding, grounded the Air Force Demonstration Team and cancelled the two days of open house and aerial demonstrations.

Traditionally, more people attend this annual event, then any free event in Nevada.

Numerous aircraft representing America’s aviation history will be on display alongside some of the nation’s newest military aircraft, such as the P-51 Mustang, B-1 Lancer, F-22 Raptor and many others.

The open house also acts as the final air show of the year for the Thunderbirds.

The Thunderbirds home base is Nellis Air Force Base.
